Jackery Explorer 1000 Portable Power Station Review

Approx Reading Time: 3 minutes

I have been the proud owner of a Jackery Explorer 160 Power Station for 2 years and have been researching the Explorer 1000 to provide a higher capacity that could power our chest freezer during a power outage.

Needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity to test and review Jackery’s Explorer 1000 Power Station with my dad. The Jackery 1000 is the perfect option to keep you ready for any of your power needs off the grid. These power stations are perfect for camping to power your time away from the electric grid.

Silent, Clean Power

Unlike fuel-powered generators, the Jackery power station provides silent running power with the ability to recharge using the unlimited power of the sun. You could run your electronics indefinitely if you carefully choose the right power bank paired with solar generating capability.

Power a Freezer During a Power Outage

I wanted the Jackery power bank so I could have a way to power my freezer in the event of a power outage. At the very least, the Jackery Explorer 1500 Power Station can buy you time until the power comes back on so you don’t lose all of your cold food, especially when paired with solar panels.

Jackery Explorer 1000 Solar Generator

The Explorer 1000 Power Station has 2 USB-C ports and 2 USB-A ports to charge small devices. It has a 12-volt DC port and 3 household-style 110-volt plugs. All of the ports can be used simultaneously to run your devices.

It has an information center that shows the current charge state of the power bank as well as how many watts are going into the bank and coming out so you can get a good idea of how long you will be able to run your load.

Lightweight and Portable

Jackery has built their product to be portable at only 22 pounds with a nice carrying handle and boasts a lifespan of 500 charge/discharge cycles. It also has a flashlight and is built inside a very sturdy-feeling plastic case.

SolarSaga 100W Portable Solar Panels

I highly recommend pairing this power station with the Jackery SolarSaga Solar Panels so you can recharge wherever you are, even if the power is out. You can input up to 126 watts of solar electricity using 2 of the Jackery SolarSaga 100 panels or up to around 145 watts when plugged into the grid.

Overall Impression of Jackery Explorer 1000

Jackery is an excellent brand and I have nothing but good to say about their products. What these little power stations really provide is peace of mind that you will be covered when you leave the power grid.

There are a few other power stations priced a bit lower than Jackery but I haven’t heard of the brands and they don’t have many reviews yet so it seems like a risk considering the stellar reputation of Jackery and their customer service. I tend to let the reviews from many users speak for themselves, especially when the purchase is more expensive like these battery banks.

Visit Jackery to explore what the best size power station would be to meet your needs. Use the promo code PROVIDENT to receive 10% off Jackery products (accessories excepted).

Jackery has almost a perfect 5-star review from thousands of customers who love them and I agree with the masses who think they are one of the best options out there. Whether it is charging your phone and other small devices, or running a freezer, you can’t go wrong with Jackery!
